To celebrate Gnome Stew’s one-year anniversary (of the marriage between delicious dead gnome flesh and game mastering, of course!), we’re giving away a set of Battlegraph Dry Erase Tiles courtesy of Longtooth Studios.
Battlegraphs
Battlegraphs are the first commercially available successor to Tact-Tiles, which were one of the best gaming products ever made.
And they look like an excellent successor. They’re modular — they lock together like jigsaw puzzle pieces — and reusable: draw on them with dry-erase markers, then clean them and use them over and over.

The Prize
Thanks to Longtooth Studios, up for grabs is one set of Battlegraph Dry Erase Tiles, shipped anywhere in the world.
I’ve had a chance to see the tiles in person, and they’re spiffy. A set of four runs $24.99, and will let you make a nice 22″ x 22″ square, an 11″ x 44″ rectangle, an L-shape, and other configurations.

One year is nice but according my oracle (the 3.5 table generated maximum random age and my dice) I predict that the gnome has 143 more years until reaching its maximum age. A little on the young side for a gnome but I’m sure you can cope with your mortality given the time.

I only recently found Gnome Stew thanks to a link from WIl Wheaton, but the articles are useful and worth following via RSS. I’d love a set of these – I’m in Oz, and currently broke so I can’t afford to ship any here!

Interesting boards, and the price is almost cheap enough for me to afford. Don’t like the water damage risk, but hey, almost everything except dice get water damage. (Or worse, pepsi & mt dew damage.)
Never heard of Aftermath cleaner. The specs for finding a suitable alternative would be nice. (Especially since it’s water sensitive.)
Wonder if I can safely seal the grooves with something.
Long time reader, short time member here. About a year or so ago I started playing in a group where the DM had a set of the old Tact-Tiles. I loved the way you can just pull the ones of the end, slide them all down, and then add them to the top. That way the DM can always have the current action closest to him. Also, after the game was over, you could just dissasemble them and store them easily on a shelf. Sure beats rolling up a poster size BattleMat. Anyway, keep up the good work, I enjoy reading the site and have learned a ton even though I have been playing for a long time.
