I’m off to GenCon this Wednesday, and I wanted to do a quick resource roundup before the con.
You made it through the whirlwind of pain that was GenCon registration…now what? Fortunately, we have some suggestions!
For starters, Zachary Houghton of RPG Blog (also a moderator on our forums) has put together a stellar guide to things you might overlook at GenCon.
If you’re running an event and you still have some last-minute planning to do, don’t miss our two guest posts on convention GMing, both by Dr. Nik: Convention GMing on the Mind: Linear or Loose and Convention GMing with Pre-Gen Characters.
If you’re in the mood to learn from GenCon, don’t miss Mastering Your GM-Fu, a free GMing seminar. We’re expecting a packed house, but we’ll make room for more!
There are also at least a few TT members going to GenCon, and I think I speak for all of us when I say I’d love to meet TT’s readers, commenters and forum members.
If you’re not going to GenCon, don’t worry — there will be new posts every day while I’m gone. What, you thought I was going to let you down?
I am getting on the road tomorrow morning. Cannot wait to get there. See all you TT members at the Seminar, or keep an eye out for DNAphil out on the Convention floor.
I’m totally, totally stoked. 😀
And between registrations, friends who didn’t sign up and drop-ins, I think we’re going to have a packed house for our seminar. Hopefully we’ll get to meet a few TT folks. 🙂
Since I’m not going to GenCon this year, I’ll wish all of you who are going all the best.
Will you be checking into the blog over the weekend? Will getting sucked whole into the GenConny goodness prevent you from being around here?
I can’t count on internet access or the time to use it, so it’s 99% likely that I won’t be around. I’ll catch up on discussion when I get back. 🙂
