Hi there! I stumbled upon your podcast via player.fm after searching for podcasts discussing Xenoblade Chronicles X. I just want to say, in relation to your comments on XCX having silly writing, things will start to make more sense as you progress further in the story. I felt the same way you do when I first started the game. I’m about 50 hours into it now and I can say that there are reasons for things that initially are confusing early in the story. I feel like they’re response to this will be that the game ought to make sense well before the 50 hr mark, considering most games can begin and end a compelling story within 20 hrs.
Glad to know its not silliness all the way, through, though.
Enjoy the podcast! I recommend going back and listening to as much of the older episodes as you can. There’s a lot of things being discussed that are still relevant.
